As a document clearing partner, Zilfer Document Clearing Services facilitates payments to various UAE government entities on your behalf. It is important for our clients to understand the following regulations regarding these statutory payments:
- Initiation of Service: Once an application is submitted or “lodged” with a government authority (such as MOHRE, Immigration, or the DED), the associated government fees are considered utilized and are strictly non-refundable.
- Automatic Forfeiture: Even in cases where a visa or trade license is rejected due to documentation errors, security reasons, or changes in local policy, the government does not typically refund the application or processing fees.
- Third-Party Costs: Fees related to medical tests, Emirates ID typing, legal translations, or courier services are collected for immediate execution and cannot be recovered once the service has been performed.
- Payment to Authorities: These fees are paid directly into government systems; therefore, Zilfer has no authority to reverse or refund these amounts once they have been processed.
- Exceptions: In rare instances of technical errors (e.g., duplicate payments via the government gateway), Zilfer will assist you in filing an official “Auto-Refund” request with the relevant ministry, subject to their specific approval and timelines.
